Then we will get to the Devil's Gorge and be dazzled by its rough waters, a nature spectacles at a height of 80 meters. In the Lower Area (Circuito Inferior) we will enjoy the rich wildlife around us, as we go down the flight of steps where we can watch the spectacle offered by this water curtain surrounded by thick vegetation.
We will pass by Álvar Núñez Fall, from where we will enjoy the first views of the Devil's Gorge. Following the path, we will find San Martín Island and the homonymous Fall. Finally, at the end of trip we will find Bosetti and Dos Hermanas Falls. We can stay and appreciate this spectacle of waters and get refreshed since the steam from the waves breaking on the rocks will spray us completely.
We will continue our trip, this time in the Upper Area (Circuito Superior), where we will go around the same falls but from a different point of view of the Falls and their surroundings. Besides, we will get close to our next destination, the most stunning, which will guide us through the roaring of the water currents. We will get to the Devil's Gorge's station by train, and start our trip around the islands, and thus, have a wider view of this great nature "mistake" in the middle of the forest created, according to a legend, by the angry God of Iguazú River.
Big Adventure
This activity is an extra walk through the hanging bridges, and with this we will start our adventure in which we will sail up to the Canyon of Iguazú River. Then we will sail for about 2 km along the rapids enjoying a beautiful view from San Martín Island.
We will go round the island up to the homonymous fall to enjoy a great deal and get sprayed from a close distance. We will get back on off-road vehicles through the thick forest surrounding the National Park.

San Ignacio Ruins and Wanda Mines
We will go round the famous Jesuitical Ruins, which were declared in 1984 as World Heritage by the UNESCO. In this trip to this magnificent place, we will enjoy the landscape and watch the different towns and plantations. These are the remains of a civilization created by Guarani people and founded in 1610 precisely by the Jesuitical people.
We will learn about building techniques, life and habits of aborigines and how they were educated in the catechism by the Jesuitical people. The remains of the 30 towns established by these people are hidden within the forests of countries like Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
Then we will head for Wanda Mines, at 40 km from Iguazú Port, where we will enjoy the extreme beauty of these semi-precious stones such as quartz, amethyst, agate and topaz.
These are opencast mines located by Paraná River, which makes it an unforgettable landscape surrounded by plantations of pines, yerba mate, tea, etc. As we move forward through the paths, we will be dazzled by the variety of colors of these gems. An interesting fact to have in mind is that the mine was named after a Polish princess who liked these stones. We can buy some of these beautiful precious stones as souvenirs.

Here we will have a very beautiful trip through the only hanging bridge of 1 km to enjoy the view of Iguazú Falls from the other side, the Brazilian region. During this trip we can also learn more about the fauna and flora, enjoy a unique landscape of the falls since the area is more open regarding falls because most of them are on the Argentine side and form a water curtain of 2,700 meters wide.
So from this side we will be dazzled by the beauty of the Devil's Gorge to the full.
Besides, this place is home to rare wildlife species, some of them in danger of extinction such as giant otters, anteaters, jaguars, red deer and yellow alligators. We will also see native flowers such as orchids, bromelias and thousands of butterflies.

Departure from Asuncion
Asuncion is the capital of Paraguay and it is located on the banks of the homonymous bay and river. The prevailing weather is subtropical, with hot summers, and winters that can be frosty. The main attractions of the city include Godoi Museum, La Encarnación Church, Heroes National Pantheon, Metropolitan Cathedral and Independence House. Besides, this city has a fluvial station, a botanical garden, a bus station and, in the city of Luque -very close to Asuncion- the International Airport.
We will get on board in the afternoon in the city of Paraguay to do the check-in. We will be introduced to the crew and guides in charge of our stay on the cruise and when in land. They will guide us and tell us about the activities we will do in the three days of sailing. Our journey will start sailing along Paraguay River. This is one of the main navigable rivers in South America since no hydroelectric plant has been established there.
This makes it a highly important maritime transport route, such as Asunción and Concepción in this country and neighboring towns. Another resource of this region is agriculture and fishing.
At night, we will enjoy a dinner with typical dishes and ingredients from Paraguay. This is the beginning of a journey surrounded by nature, in which we will see a folklore show to end our first night on the cruise.

Paraguay River - Villa Hayes
Sunset will find us almost getting to one of the branches of Paraguay River, where we will have the honor of taking photos from special boats so as to experience from a closer distance the nature around us. Sailing on this cruise, we will have a different perspective of the environment without disturbing the ecosystem.
We will watch native aquatic and terrestrial animals and the luxuriant flora.
Accompanied by the guides, we will interpret and watch a wide variety of native birds and flora. We will have enough time to have breakfast on board, and then go on with our journey towards the city of Villa Hayes. We should highlight here the iron and steel industry. There we will also visit the Historical Museum of the City, Virgin Victory Church, and watch the craftsmen doing their crafts.
In addition to this, this region has low hills such as Galvan and Confuso, which together with Patiño Brook and Tinfunqué Park Natural Reserve are habitat of diverse animals and wild flora.
When we return to the cruise, we will get ready to enjoy a special dinner: the "Night of the Captain."

 |
On our third and last day on the cruise, we will have breakfast and then head for a typical Chaco farm ranch, a really ideal place to relax and enjoy the nature and countryside life.
There we can walk around the attractive and beautiful paths or, for those who prefer a quiet activity, rest by the shade of big trees. Fishing on boats and canoeing are other activities we can do.
A biologist will be with us at all times during the activities we choose to do either photographic safari or horse riding, in which we will watch the fauna and flora around us.
We will have time to have lunch and, in the afternoon, we can rest and taste some exotic drinks by the pool, while watching the Chaco landscape behind us.
We will be back to Asunción at about 6 PM. Then we will check out and get on board. Transfer to Asuncion Airport.
End of our services.
