You can find different options in this section "Journeys to Patagonia" which cover all the most known attractions in Patagonia, but also discovering the least visited places, or better said, least touristic places in the Patagonian zone. For this, we have divided Patagonia in 3 big zones or regions:
1°) Southern Patagonia Region
2°) Northern Patagonia Region
3°) Atlantic Patagonia Region
SOUTHERN PATAGONIA REGION: This area spans the Tierra del Fuego Grand Island where Ushuaia is located, the glacier zone in El Calafate and El Chalten. We also include the Torres del Paine National Park, Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas in this zone. This Patagonian stretch is typically rugged and arid, very desolated, with the presence of important glaciers such as the Perito Moreno in El Calafate and others as the Upsala, Spegazzini, etc. The core points in this region are:
Perito Moreno, Spegazzini, Upsala Glaciers.
Los Glaciares National Park (Fitz Roy & Torre Mounts).
Torres del Paine National Park.
Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Beagle Channel.
Route 40.
Cueva de Las Manos (Cave Paintings) / Los Antiguos.
Perito Moreno National Park.
NORTHERN PATAGONIA REGION: It covers Junín de los Andes, San Martín de los Andes, where the Seven Lakes Route begins, Villa La Angostura, Villa Traful, Bariloche and Esquel. According to our polls, the most beautiful Patagonian region of all. It is a combination of lush vegetation, crystalline lakes and stunning mountains. The core points in this region are:
Huechulafquen Lake and Lanin Volcano
Lacar & Nonthue Lakes.
Quila Quina.
San Martín de los Andes City.
Villa Traful & Valle Encantado (Enchanted Valley).
Bahia Manzano (Manzano Bay
Victoria Island & Arrayanes Forest.
Lakes Crossing.
Los Alerces National Park.
Futalaufquen, Verde, Menéndez & Rivadavia Lakes.
La Trochita Patagonian Express Train.
Welsh Colony Route.
ATLANTIC PATAGONIAN REGION: It goes from Peninsula Valdes, passing through Gaiman, Trelew, Punta Tombo, Camarones, Bustamante Bay, Comodoro Rivadavia, Puerto Deseado (Deseado Harbour), Puerto San Julian (San Julian Harbour) and the Monte Leon National Park down to Rio Gallegos. This part of the Argentine South is the least promoted, except for Peninsula Valdes, famous for the Southern Right Whale´s presence, but it is a very interesting region to discover due to the great diversity of flora and sea fauna which can be appreciated during the journey. It is also known as Ruta Azul (Blue Route). The most recommended attractions of this area are:
Península Valdés
Punta Tombo Natural Reserve
Punta Tombo Natural Reserve
Bustamante Bay
Ría Deseado
Puerto San Julián (San Julian Harbour)
Monte León National Park

Bariloche is the most famous and touristic city in the Northern Patagonia, its landscapes and its proximity to the Lake District in Chile make it very important. What stands out are the Victoria Island and the Arrayanes Forest (myrtle forest), the Valle Encantado in the outskirts of the city, the Cruce de Lagos (Lakes Crossing) which joins them to Puerto Montt and Puerto Varas, the Ventisquero Negro (Tronador Mount) and the Llao Llao Peninsula where Puerto Banderas is located and from where the lakes excursions set off. |
|
|
| National Park Los Alerces |

Los Alerces National Park is one of the most wonderful places in the whole Patagonia. It is incredible that this destination is not worldwide promoted. Those who know the Patagonia very well, consider it one of the most beautiful corners together with Bahía Manzano and San Martín de los Andes. It is a zone for experts with lots of attractions, most in Los Alerces National Park, an impeccable natural reservoir where the alerzal milenario (one-thousand-years-old alerces forest) which is unique in the planet, is located. |
|

We go to Roballos Pass and Monte Zeballos, to the Posadas and Pueyrredón Lakes and visit one of the wildest attractions in Patagonia: the Perito Moreno National Park, where we find accommodation at an estancia on the shore of the Belgrano Lake. |

We trek on the Martial Glacier and enjoy sledges pulled by huskies or climbing on ice. At night we enjoy a bonfire. |
|
|
 |
7 days - 6 Nights |
Madryn offers the most important natural attraction of Península Valdés in winter: the Southern Right Whales. They can be seen from everywhere, in Puerto Madryn, in El Doradillo watching them from the shore or in Pirámides. From mid-July to the beginning of November, even when many people offer it, we don´t recommend risking it before June or after December for these watchings. Even in November and July there can be very few whales to be seen. |
|
|
 |
7 days - 6 Nights |
Península Valdés in summer shows a diversity of sea fauna as it doesn´t in other months, with sea lions and seals in Punta Cantor and Punta Loma or elephant seals in Caleta Valdés and Punta Ninfas and Magellan penguins in the peninsula but specially in the Punta Tombo Fauna Reserve. Cormorants can be seen in almost every cliff we see and dolphins and toninas overas (cephalorhynchus commersonii, a kind of dolphin) in the proximities of Puerto Rawson. |
